I don’t really have any specific activities or things to look out for in Jiufen and Shifen in Taiwan…it’s mostly about soaking in the atmosphere when you’re there so be warned that this post is going to be more pictorial than anything.
Back in Taipei for the last leg of my Taiwan trip! Before I set off to hunt down money changers in Taipei city to save my dwindling funds, I used the remaining dimes to treat myself to some economical Taiwanese breakfast fare.
Last morning in Taichung and my biggest regret was not trying one of the breakfast shops near my homestay. Regardless, after packing my loots, I had to drop off the minsu keys at the letterbox, flag a cab for Taichung HSR and set off for Taipei before changing to the TRA to Hualien.
I think Park Lane by CMP is a relatively new development in Taiwan. It’s a vibrant area with a cool museum, park and Eslite (just about the most popular hangout bookstore in Taiwan) and you just can’t miss it if you are in Taichung for the weekend.
